Event breakdown and rules:

1. SRV Race – The Goddamn Commie Invitational

The SRV race will take place at Barnes Bastion on Kappa-1 Coronae Austrinae 8 E

A true bastion of communism.
Filthy system, filthy planet, filthy thargoid-loving commies.

In order to bring some joy to the lives of the filthy commies inhabiting the Kappa-1 Coronae Austrinae system, we’re bringing them the freest of all sports – car racing. The track layout is as follows (click here to see full image):

It ain’t NASCAR, but it’s CLOSE ENOUGH FOR FREEDOM

Rules: you must pass the following numbered checkpoints:

START: The start of the race

  1. When the track ends, take a right and pass between the two domes, then left to get back onto the road.
  2. After passing under the bridge, take a right across the dirt and rejoin the road.
  3. As the road ends, pass the nearest spire keeping it on the left
  4. Pass the next spire on your right and rejoin the road
  5. Use the ramp to exit the settlement
  6. Following the wall, pass under all the buttresses (it’s bumpy!)
  7. After passing under the last buttress, take a right and double back to the ramp on the outbuilding

FINISH: The end of the outbuilding’s ramp.

No shooting, no killing, no skipping checkpoints. Skipping a checkpoint results in a DNQ rating.

Points will be scored according to the order of arrival at the finish line.

A guide run will be provided, as will the opportunity for two practice runs.

2. The Buckyball Race – Heave Ho, *Splat* We Go

After showing the commies a good time, you will, at the given mark, take off and proceed to the second planet of the BD+47 2963 system.

WHAM BAM SLAM YOU MA’AM

You will land at my wing beacon and retrieve a very special piece of cargo. Beware, the planet features a pleasant 5.22G.

Landing on the planet safely is perfectly possible.

After retrieving the cargo, you will proceed to LHS 492, Lem Port and sell the cargo to Dixon. You will take a screenshot before selling the goods as proof of transaction.

You will then immediately take off and proceed to the Squirrel’s Nest Bar orbiting around Pleione 4 and take a screenshot immediately upon dropping down.

Points will be awarded according to the order of arrival at the Squirrel’s Nest Bar, contingent on sending the transaction screenshot from LHS 492.

3. The SLF Race – Don’t Drink and Fly, Drink THEN Fly

The SLF Race will follow the standard pattern of the Squirrel’s Nest Bar racing course. Full image here.

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I highly encourage you to watch a flythrough of the course here.

The race will be 10 laps long.

A guide run will be provided, as well as the opportunity for 2 practice runs.

Rules:

  1. Ship-Launched fighters ONLY.
  2. No shooting, no killing eachother.
  3. Losing your fighter = DNQ. Don’t get cocky.
  4. All types of fighters are allowed.

Points will be awarded according to the order in which the finish line will be crossed at the end of the 10th lap.

4. The Drag Race – The Fast and the Spurious

After all competitors finish the previous event, we will proceed to Merope, Reed’s Rest.

Ol’ Dixon’s private pad

After requesting docking and being assigned a landing pad, all participants will then line up at a starting line 25km from the entrace to Reed’s Rest.

On the mark, all competitors will thrust towards the station in orger to get there as fast as possible.

The finish line is your assigned docking pad on the station. You must dock to finish the event.

Points will be awarded according to the order in which the contestants manage to succesfully dock at the station after completing the course.

Ship suggestions and limitations:

There are no specific limitations except what the nature of the events dictates. Therefore, your ship must have the following modules:

  1. Srv Hangar
  2. Fighter Hangar
  3. Cargo rack of any capacity

Other than that, I suggest the following:

  1. Engineer your thrusters as much as possible
  2. Strike a balance between jump range, speed, and maneuverability.
  3. A Guardian FSD Booster will help a lot.
  4. Keep a shield on you. That 5.22G planet WILL give you a knock

Good luck and fly bigly.
